From the Pole to Porda explores the densely populated gullies of Ahmedabad and the sprawling tobacco fields of Porda. After graduating college, I packed my bags to live in the neighborhoods where my mom and dad grew up. During this time, I used the camera to better understand the space, language, food, and people that shaped my heritage — and consequently, my upbringing.
